to do in 2012.

1. drink more wine. i've already started this new years resolution. maybe it should be to try quality wine. not cheap, $3.97 wine. when i'm feeling rich i spend $9 on my favorite wine..

cupcakevinyard

cupcake wine. yum. we've had the sauvignon blanc and the chardonnay.  yum again.

2. grow my own veggies/start a garden. here's to hoping it will look like this...

lots of plump tomatoes would be lovely.
a fence full of greens.
perfect. see resolution #1.
diy garden markers.
3. run some 5K's. there are really no photos for that. maybe a photo of my brother because he keeps saying he will sign up for one with me, but never does.

i guess i could add in.. drink less diet coke.. but i always fail. ill just embrace it.

mottos for 2012.

happy new year.

my christmas creations.

Christmas cards! DIY: string & paper clips.
"Joy To The World" banner. DIY: string, cardstock & hot glue.
Tree Skirt. DIY: fabric, lots of hot glue and lots of time.
vases, ornaments and wood balls. (Hobby Lobby)
Ta-Da!

merry christmas to my husband.

I'm in love with collages, so I decided to make one for my husband. I thought of everything my husband likes: the Dallas Cowboys, Texas, History and oddly, birds. I searched.. and searched.. and searched for items and this is what I came up with!

My husband loves the "Come and Take it" flag, so that became the center of attention! (and because I couldn't find a flag in a smaller size.) The birds print, Texas heart print and the single gun print I found at StayGoldMedia on etsy. These prints on dictionary paper add so much detail!

Desert print of White Sands, New Mexico, a "Go Cowboys" sign from the game, a black and white photo collage of Big Bend pictures and Texas landmarks and a signed ticket stub and pictures of my husband's favorite Texas country artist.

3 Texas bumper stickers, my old license plate, and a vintage Texaco sign I found at Hobby Lobby, a black and white Big Bend picture from our trip, a giant star from Hobby Lobby and a Dallas Cowboys print.

I think my husband will stare at this all day.

my kind of christmas. (via pinterest)

"Joy to the World" window banner. Easy to make with cardstock, a hole punch and clear string.

Fence or front porch snowflakes.
Materials: Sticks or popsicle sticks, glue & red paint! Maybe a little glitter! (glitter makes everything better.)

Front Porch! If only it snowed this much in Texas!

Christmas words banner! A little paper, a little glue and a little ribbon. Im thinking I will make this with snowflakes.

Non traditional holiday wreath! I prefer the tradional colors but love the poms.
