my kitchen window.

The curtain is from World Market and the light from Home Depot. The white owl is from Anthropologie filled with Anthropologie colored pencils! The small blue and white container was my Grandmas. The small bird vase is from Anthropologie along with the 3 small bowls. I planted succulents in each bowl. And the rock is hand painted. It's a happy kitchen window. :)

ooo..a mantel.

My husband bought me a mantel for christmas! holy moly..I've been dying to get a mantel! The mantel came from ebay unfinished, so I chose this lovely dark stain, "jacobean" (Minwax) from Home Depot. I'm excited about this decorating possibilities for the holidays!

ooo lala! pot is from Hobby Lobby, yellow jewelry box is from Anthropologie and the two vases
 were cheap finds! (Target maybe)
Painting is one that I did. An agave cactus, inspired by a painting from World Market.

merry christmas to my husband.

I'm in love with collages, so I decided to make one for my husband. I thought of everything my husband likes: the Dallas Cowboys, Texas, History and oddly, birds. I searched.. and searched.. and searched for items and this is what I came up with!

My husband loves the "Come and Take it" flag, so that became the center of attention! (and because I couldn't find a flag in a smaller size.) The birds print, Texas heart print and the single gun print I found at StayGoldMedia on etsy. These prints on dictionary paper add so much detail!

Desert print of White Sands, New Mexico, a "Go Cowboys" sign from the game, a black and white photo collage of Big Bend pictures and Texas landmarks and a signed ticket stub and pictures of my husband's favorite Texas country artist.

3 Texas bumper stickers, my old license plate, and a vintage Texaco sign I found at Hobby Lobby, a black and white Big Bend picture from our trip, a giant star from Hobby Lobby and a Dallas Cowboys print.

I think my husband will stare at this all day.

some of our home.

Photo collage above our couch.. (old mirror, framed scrap fabric, old candle tray) + 3 mix matched pillows + a lovely pendleton blanket we got for a wedding gift.
Chalkboard menu board. Browse through Martha Stewart Food on a Sunday evening, grocery shop on Monday morning and I have a daily reminder of what I'm "supposed" to cook.

little blue house.

We lived in a tiny 630 square foot apartment for 3 years. After realizing that space was limited and walking up 3 flights of stairs was getting exhuasting, we bought our first house; a little blue house. Oh the ideas that I have! I could not wait to dive into painting, decorating and landscaping. I am constantly wanting to rearrange furniture, paint new pictures and start new projects. I will be posting my home inspirations, my DIY projects and any other lovely thoughts and crazy creative ideas that I have! Enjoy :)
